After earning her theater degree from San Diego State University, Libbey discovered her real calling wasn't on stage. It was behind the wax pot!
A third-generation beauty professional and licensed esthetician since 1999, Libbey turned her love of brows and Brazilian waxing into Kiss and Makeup Now in 2015.
Today, she's known for her expert waxing techniques, signature humor, and a slightly Barbie-obsessed studio in Clairemont. She also trains estheticians across the country, sharing the techniques she's perfected over more than 25 years in the beauty industry.

Most clients stay smooth for 3-5 weeks. They typically schedule their Brazilian waxing appointments every four to five weeks. Hair growth varies, so we'll help you find a schedule that works for you.

Totally valid concern, and totally manageable. We use gentle wax formulas and skin-safe techniques designed to minimize redness, bumps, and post-wax irritation. Most clients with reactive skin notice smoother results and fewer ingrown hairs over time, especially with the right prep and aftercare. Plus, it reduces the risk of shaving-related irritation like razor burn or nicks.
We'll discuss your skin history, medications, and sensitivities before beginning. If your skin isn't suitable for waxing that day, we'll recommend waiting rather than risking irritation. -
Absolutely. We regularly see pregnant clients, including those in their third trimester who can't even see their bikini line anymore. It's safe when done by a trained professional who knows how to adjust for skin sensitivity, swelling, and positioning. Bonus: the heated bed, pillows, and humor help take the edge off. Just double-check with your OB if you're unsure.

Look for ingredients like salicylic acid, lactic acid, or tea tree oil — just skip anything harsh, overly scented, or comedogenic. We'll recommend a product at your appointment based on your skin type, so you leave with a plan, not a guess.

For the first 24 hours, avoid hot tubs, intense workouts, and tight clothing that creates friction. Wait approximately 48 hours before beginning gentle exfoliation, provided your skin has calmed.
